Já testei quase de tudo. Aluguei quarto e apartamento pelo airbnb e fiquei em um quarto individual minúsculo em um hotel. Airbnb é melhor se você tiver mais tempo na cidade (mais barato, mas geralmente mais longe) e hotel/hostel se você tem pouco tempo.

Algumas opções são o Best Western Victoria Palace, Meininger Hotel London Hyde Park, Generator Hostel e o Kensington Close.
