[align=Justify]A navegação de Chapecó a Itapiranga foi a última. Em junho de 2010, o lago será fechado. A passagem foi difícil devido ao estreitamento do rio, que foi desviado por adufas (aberturas por onde escoa a água e que sãoreguladas por comportas), localizadas na base do vertedouro da barragem de Foz do Chapecó. Um dos barcos infláveis arrebentou na passagem, e um dos tripulantes cortou o pé e foi levado ao Hospital de São Carlos.[/align]
